Hedge Fund Analyst, 100%

Yakoubi Associates, a local recruiting agency based in Zürich, specializes in recruiting for the financial services sector, including banks, asset managers, family offices, and other firms.

We are currently seeking a Hedge Fund Analyst to join a Multi Family Office in Zurich.

Tasks

• Lead manager on the hedge fund offering (discretionary and non-discretionary)
• Define the companies investment process in cooperation with the CIO, by defining research policy, portfolio construction approach, and risk management process
• Source hedge fund investment opportunities across all hedge fund sub-asset classes and strategies (offshore and UCITS strategies)
• Develop and nurture long term relationships with hedge fund managers to access expertise and expand the P&P network
• Complete hedge fund investment (IDD) and operational due diligence (ODD) efforts and write ups, as weil as background checks on key investment staff (in collaboration with external providers within budget)
• Prepare quantitative as weil as qualitative evaluation of hedge funds, conduct data analysis in dissecting track records, and model portfolios to uncover valuable insights into the behaviour of single hedge funds in dedicated managed accounts and multi-asset class portfolios
• Assume a key role in all aspects of purchase / subscription and sale / redemption processes to insure the timely and accurate completion of these transactions, as weil as supporting mid and back office procedures.
• Monitor the company s book of hedge fund investments thoroughly and closely, highlighting key developments in timely manner and results during weekly investment team meetings
• Meet regulatory requirements (including VOF, FINMA) and comply with investment governance, as weil as following internal policies and procedures
• lnform and educate clients and prospects of the firm, senior management, internal relationship managers and advisers with investment content
• Collaborate proactively within the rest of the investment team, with the client services team, the mid and back office of custodian banks and suppliers
• Actively contribute to affirming the reputation of the company as the partner of choice for the investors, investment managers and intermediaries
• Act as voting member of the company Investment Committee

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Banking & Finance or Economics, with 2 to 5 years work experience in Hedge funds or a quantitative asset class.
• Additional relevant qualifications are highly desirable, with preference given to candidates pursuing or possessing a CFA certification.
• Proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative analysis, demonstrating a strong understanding of different asset classes.
• Solid analytical skills, enabling effective evaluation and interpretation of financial data.
• Ability to work autonomously, very good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
