AVIATION FIELD ENGINEER (M / F / D)
YOUR TASKS
- Provide onsite developmental support for Garmin avionics systems, including providing support outside of normal business hours
- Generates customer specific engineering communications such as ECMs or OEM notification documents
- Performs troubleshooting of advanced avionics issues on an integration rig or aircraft
- Supports customer ground and flight test efforts, including collection of aircraft data during testing
- Assists in creation of aircraft interconnect documentation
- Leverages strong working knowledge of integration test benches and provides leadership to customers on conducting testing
- Work closely with Garmin engineers and customers to coordinate issues and resolve moderately complex problems
- Provide technical information to customers and access to Garmin technical documents
- Applies Garmin’s Mission, Vision, Values and Quality Policy and enthusiastically exhibits a desire to see Garmin succeed
YOUR PROFIL
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math or Physics
- Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting skills on most avionics issues
- Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems
- Demonstrates thorough working knowledge of all aircraft systems and their avionics interfaces
- Demonstrates strong working knowledge of aircraft data acquisition methods
- Demonstrates intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office, including familiarity with AutoCAD or MS Visio
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- FAA Licensed Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic
- Pilot’s License, Garmin Integrated Flight Deck experience preferred
