Senior Media Services Manager
The Position
As the organiser of some of the biggest and most iconic sport events in the world we lead the way in the sport and event industry.
We are now looking for a Senior Media Services Manager that is part of FIFA and supports us on our mission.
These are your key tasks : The Senior Media Services Manager shall ensure the detailed planning, development and implementation of the appropriate service levels to media on a daily basis and at FIFA tournaments and events.
This includes :
- Work closely with the rest of the Media Operations & Services team and tournament project leads to ensure the development and implementation of agreed-upon services and solutions that align with event plans and budgets, supporting the delivery of media services during tournaments and events.
- Support the provision and delivery of innovative and state of the art scalable solutions, considered as best in class in the sports media industry.
- Generate innovative concepts and creative ideas aimed at enhancing the quality of media services provided and improving the overall experience for media personnel.
- Digitize media information for prompt and accurate delivery of operational details, while refining event-specific Media Guides to enhance user experience.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with relevant departments to streamline processes and enhance media services efficiency.
- Monitor and analyse data related to media operations and services, providing reports and insights to aid decision-making processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, integrating relevant advancements into existing media service procedures and guidelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for global News Agencies, gathering and coordinating their requirements in a streamlined and efficient manner.
- Main contact for photo camera brands providing dedicated services to accredited photographers gathering and coordinating their requirements in a streamlined and efficient manner.
- Support, where requested, the Media Operations team in the delivery of other events, including but not limited to the FIFA World Cup, the FIFA Women's World Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, the FIFA Congress, the FIFA Council and The Best Awards
FIFA Media Hub
- Overseeing the FIFA Media Hub editorial team and day-to-day operations.
- Participate in regular meetings with Media Operations & Services team to review upcoming projects and events as well as meet with the FIFA Media Hub Project Team to discuss FIFA Media Hub development and enhancement requests and review the status of new features and services.
- Planning and managing tournament specific services on the FIFA Media Hub.
- Efficiently manage the day-to-day CRM inbox, handling incoming requests, and ensuring timely responses and resolutions to help improving communication with the media.
- Handling new media registrations, active user accounts, providing tech support, and reaching out to users for documentation updates.
- creating a structured approach to handle media registrations promptly
Media Accreditation :
- Lead and manage the media accreditation process for all FIFA competitions and events, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and procedures.
- Enhancing the project plan for Media Accreditations by establishing a clear timeline, milestones, and deadlines while internally organizing resources to manage workload, increase service levels, and provide clear deadlines for the media.
- Coordinate with FIFA's member associations, major news agencies, Local FIFA Subsidiaries and Local Organising Committees in preparation for media accreditation.
Work with FIFA Accreditations, FIFA TV and other FIFA stakeholders on accreditation issues and documentation.
Manage Quota Management System for FIFA World Cup
Media Ticketing
- Lead and supervise the media ticketing operations for all FIFA competitions and events (if applicable).
- Active participation in development meetings and design reviews for the media ticketing system and other media operations tools.
- Implement strategies to streamline ticketing processes, optimizing efficiency and accuracy in ticket allocation and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in media ticketing
- Analyse ticketing data and generate reports to provide insights for decision-making and process improvement.
- Manage and mentor a team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality media ticketing services at FIFA competitions.

- Bachelor degree or similar higher education in related field (communications, journalism, digital media, etc.)
- 5-10 years of experience in an international sports and / or media organisation with a specific background in football and / or media operations & services
- Media operations and media services expertise
- Very good understanding of global football activities
- Fluent in English, proficiency in any other FIFA language is an asset
- Proficient in Word / PowerPoint / Excel
- SAP knowledge is an asset (Finance, Budgeting, Procurement, Governance, RFP process management)Willingness to travel at least 8 weeks per year
