About the role The Accountant is an important function for Energy Vault SA, sitting at the center of the broader finance team to help the Accounting Director gain financial visibility and insights on the business.

This team overseas day to day accounting payables and general ledger activities and works closely with the Accounting Director and other departments.

What you will do

  • Bookings AP invoices with critical sense (eg. check correctness of invoices and link with purchase order)
  • VAT reconciliation and preparation for submission
  • Support payroll check (correctness of social charges, wage taxes and insurances)
  • Support in monthly GL close, booking prepayments and accruals
  • Preparation of GL reconciliations
  • Work in cross functional capacity to provide accounting and finance support to various dept. especially Procurement.
  • Assist with external audits.
  • Continuously improve and automate reporting processes.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and analysis.

What a qualified candidate should possess

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of finance / accounting experience with progression.
  • Experience in Trust Company in Switzerland is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and G / L transactions Swiss GAAP and, preferably, USGAAP
  • Experience with Swiss local requirements (VAT, payroll, taxes).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactivity
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Tipalti, desirable, but not required.
