The IT department is responsible for and designs the entire IT of the City of Munich. We ensure that IT provision meets the city's current and future needs.

We drive the digitalization of the city of Munich and play a pioneering role. Our work and services make the city of Munich a digital metropolis that sets standards that its employees are proud of.

As part of the IT department, we ensure a modern IT and telecommunications infrastructure, implement professional IT solutions and secure the IT operations of the City of Munich with over 1,200 employees in our own company it@M.

What you can expect

As an IT project manager at the City of Munich, you can expect an exciting and varied role. You will get to know a wide range of specialist departments whose business processes are to be supported by IT.

As project manager, you will work with the project team to create the IT solution. You will be part of the ongoing digitization process and work closely with the IT solution consultants, the specialist departments (customers) and, if applicable, product manufacturers.

This collaboration will enable you to develop and implement innovative solutions that will sustainably support the city and have a positive impact on the life and work of its citizens.

Your way of working will be characterized by agile methods.

You have

• a successfully completed university degree in the field of computer science, administrative informatics or business informatics or
• a successfully completed university degree and many years (at least three years) of professional experience in the IT sector

In particular, you will have

Specialist knowledge : Experience in project management and the application of project methodology (project planning, risk, stakeholder management, etc.

preferably in IT projects, experience in agile methods, e.g. Scrum

• Result and goal orientation, especially coordination skills
• Communication skills, especially motivational skills

The following are an advantage

• Certification as a SCRUM master
• Experience in supplier management
• Experience in working with confluence and jira
• Experience with product-neutral tenders (awards)
