Our client is a newly established Metals Trading and Finance company in Zug.

To build up the Finance department, we are looking for an eager, well versed

Chief of Accounting & Controller

Tasks

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accounting and audit, budgeting and controlling

Accounting process

  • Prepare the company accounts in compliance with local GAAP for statutory and tax audits and liaise with auditors and tax authorities
  • Design & implement systems, policies & procedures to facilitate internal financial control (e.g. internal reporting system)
  • Assessing tax consequences of different trading businesses
  • Statutory filings and registration
  • Budgeting and Cash Flow Management
  • Preparing the company’s annual budget
  • Management accounting, preparation of actual P&L and Cash flow reports
  • Preparing specific financial reports on request

    • Credit and Risk Management

  • Collecting base and precious metals pricing data and running relevant database

    • Payroll

  • Monthly reconciliation with HR
  • Responsibility for implementation of financial modules of trading systems.

    • Requirements

    Knowledge and skills

  • Master’s degree in a finance related field
  • Minimum of 5 years job experience involving managerial responsibilities
  • Expertise in Swiss civil-, finance, and tax laws and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IFRS)
  • Good negotiating skills in the English language

  • Ability to take decisions and assume responsibility
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under stress
