UCB is seeking a passionate and driven graduate to join the Graduate Development Program (GDP) in the Business Acceleration Department.
The GDP aims to develop the academic knowledge of graduates through a learning and practical journey at UCB, which enables them to make an impact in the business.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience within our international, dynamic and passionate team for about 18 months.
The position is based in UCB’s Manufacturing Site in Bulle, Switzerland.
We focus on building a program where a UCB Graduate can work in direct collaboration with diverse teams such as the Allergy, Neurology and Immunology Product Streams, be exposed to a set of unique formal trainings and access a network of peers inside the company and within the Graduate Community.
With this program you will acquire a broad range of professional experience and skills in a department responsible for manufacturing support and process improvement .
You will have the chance to start your career in the pharmaceutical & biotechnology manufacturing field and shape your professional journey in this scientific environment.

In the frame of this GDP, a rotation on the two following pillars is proposed :
- Validation and process expertise : participate to the process-related (re)validation exercises & process support projects realization : more specifically, contribution in process improvement activities (small scale studies, experimental plan determination and execution, )
- Continuous improvement : contribute & lead continuous improvement initiatives within the organization : using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, data gathering and problem solving methodologies
Two graduate journeys are never the same and this one is a particularly exciting one! There’s a lot more to it, but to get started, this is what is expecting you by the time you join us :
- The Process & Expertise Validation team, and the Continuous Improvement team are part of the Business Acceleration department, which aims to support projects for the improvement of performance & achievement / maintaining of compliance for the Bulle manufacturing site,
- This site is manufacturing various products in the fields of Allergy, Neurology & Immunology, thus providing the opportunity to impact different types of manufacturing processes,
- You will be expected to liaise with other project teams within the organization.
Ideally, this is what your background looks like. However, we are happy for you to challenge us that you’re the right one for this job even if these boxes are not really ticked :
- Recently graduated from a healthcare, digital, engineering, life science or related field, and / or has relevant experience in the life science engineering & digital fields,
- Possesses good understanding of statistics
- Effective communication and project management skills,
- Values in line with those of UCB is an essential leadership component.
Of course, excellent English spoken & written skills is a must. And it would be great if you can also demonstrate competencies such as : Adaptable Mindset, Self-starter, Solution-oriented, Customer-oriented and Proactive Learner and, of course, Team Player.
