Strategic Advisor - Fundraising Lead - Start-Up Biotech

A highly innovative early-stage biotech company is preparing to enter a pivotal phase of growth with an upcoming Series A fundraising round. Backed by strong pre-clinical data and a compelling therapeutic platform in Oncology, the company is now seeking an experienced Strategic & Commercial Advisor to lead its capital raising efforts and shape investor strategy.

The Opportunity This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a visionary scientific founding team and help shape the trajectory of a biotech company on the cusp of clinical development. Your core focus will be to lead and execute an impactful Series A fundraising strategy, while positioning the company for long-term commercial success.

Key Responsibilities Design and implement a comprehensive capital raising strategy (Series A focus)

Identify, engage, and manage relationships with VC, PE, family office, and angel investors with a track record in biotech and life sciences

Refine and co-develop the investor pitch, materials, and financial models

Provide strategic commercial insights to strengthen the business case and future partnering potential

Act as a senior advisor to the CEO and Board on investor engagement and valuation strategy

Profile Requirements Proven track record of fundraising within the life sciences / biotech ecosystem - ideally having led or advised on Series A / B rounds

Deep network across the investor community, including tier-1 biotech VC firms, family offices, and strategic pharma investors

Strong grasp of biotech value inflection points, translational science, and commercial strategy

Strategic mindset with the ability to translate science into compelling investor narratives

Prior experience in advisory, investment, or leadership roles in high-growth biotech ventures
