Tax Compliance Manager

As the Associated-Director in the Client Onboarding & Administration department, you will be in charge of the Tax Compliance team.

Reporting directly to the Head Tax Compliance and Cross-border Vice-Director, you will be in charge of managing the team, implementing the ongoing projects and supervising the operational activities relating to international tax compliance matters (mainly QI, FATCA and AEOI).

Key responsibilities

Operations & project management

• Operations
• Establishing clear goals and objectives, prioritize tasks, and develop effective systems and processes to manage time, resources, and information, including maintaining statistics.
• Overseeing operational tasks, incl. yearly workflows, relating to tax compliance, including recommendations issued (e.g.

in relation to requests for opening or monitoring of accounts).

• Supervising second line of defense controls to ensure procedures are properly applied internally, including for the entities of the Group.
• Overseeing the timely preparation of all tax compliance reportings.
• Projects
• Following-up on novelties in the tax compliance field, analyzing tax compliance rules, translating them into procedures and maintaining such procedures up-to-date.
• Driving the writing of ad hoc memoranda on specific topics, participating in the writing of internal reports and participating in trainings provided by the team.
• Detecting problems to trace potential causes and make active decisions.
• Stepping back from one s daily routine, explore ideas for the future, regard the facts from a distance and see them in a broader context or in the longer term.

Team Management

• Leading and supporting a team of 3 persons
• Fostering a positive work atmosphere where employees feel motivated, valued, and connected to the team and the organization.
• Setting performance expectations, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any performance issues.
• Supporting employee growth through training, mentorship, coaching, and advancement opportunities.
• Hiring
• Leading the recruitment process with your Talent Acquisition Partner.
• Ensuring new hires are properly introduced to the team, the organization, its culture, policies, and their specific roles.

Qualifications

• Master of Laws is a must.
• Excellent knowledge of French and English are a must; proficiency with Excel is a plus.
• 3 to 5 years track record in QI, FATCA and AEOI, preferably in a banking environment.
• Previous experience in a management role.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, results-oriented, team player.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
