Our client is a prominent professional investment firm backed by a single, highly successful & entrepreneurial European family with substantial financial resources.
The firm is investing globally across all asset classes, and a dedicated Private Equity team has been working on primaries and co-investment opportunities for a while.
Their strategy is evolving with a view to lead majority direct deals going forward, and to this end they recently hired a senior investor to manage and develop this dedicated unit.
The firm will make meaningful equitymitments across sectors and geographies, and will aim to execute 1 to 2 majority deals per year in mid-marketpanies. What the job involves
As an Investment Associate, you will work on all transaction workstreams : from supporting sourcing and origination efforts, to the coordination of external advisors for due diligence processes, and most importantly build financial models and define investment theses with a view to presenting your conclusions during Investmentmittee meetings.
Post-acquisition, your role will be to support value creation projects, working with industry experts advisors to supervise growth initiatives.
- You will work on the origination, analysis and execution of new transactions, both platforms and add-ons across all Europe and the US
- You will support senior members of the team by building and enhancing related financial models, and lead / coordinate other due diligence streams
- Through your own initiatives andplimented by the firm's strong global network of advisors and family's rich entrepreneurial legacy, you will directly contribute to the firm's vision of building the next generation of market-leadingpanies
Who we are looking for
- Previous experience with an investment bank (M&A or Leveraged Finance) or a Private Equity fund (direct investment)
- Outstanding analytical skills and greatmercial judgement paired with a genuine interest in operational topics that are critical to building significant, sustainable investment value
- As a quick-paced thinker with impeccablemunication skills, you possess the drive to develop your career in private equity plus the brain power, emotional intelligence and poise to convince colleagues & management teams alike
- Fluency in German and English
