Job description
Safety Engineering Activities
-
Perform and maintain safety assessments and analyses throughout the software lifecycle.
-
Conduct and support:
-
Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA)
-
Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA)
-
System Safety Assessments (SSA)
-
Hazard Analyses
-
Fault Tree Analyses (FTA)
-
Common Cause Analyses (CCA/CMA)
-
Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA/FMECA)
-
-
Support safety requirement definition, allocation, and traceability.
-
Participate in safety reviews and risk assessments.
-
Support the determination and justification of Software Assurance Levels (SWAL).
Software Assurance & Compliance
-
Ensure compliance with applicable aviation and ATM regulations, standards, and company processes.
-
Participate in software assurance activities across development, verification, validation, release, and maintenance phases.
-
Review engineering deliverables to verify compliance with applicable standards.
-
Support audits, assessments, and certification activities.
-
Contribute to anomaly management, change control, problem reporting, and corrective actions.
-
Review software lifecycle data and evidence for certification purposes.
Certification & Quality Support
-
Prepare certification documentation and compliance evidence.
-
Interface with certification authorities, customers, and external stakeholders.
-
Support software process improvement initiatives.
-
Participate in internal and external audits.
-
Contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Project & Stakeholder Collaboration
-
Work closely with software development, systems engineering, validation, and quality teams.
-
Support project planning and certification milestones.
-
Collaborate in international, multidisciplinary environments.
-
Provide guidance on safety, assurance, and compliance topics.
Requirements
-
University degree in:
-
Software Engineering
-
Computer Science
-
Aerospace Engineering
-
Systems Engineering
-
Safety Engineering
-
Or equivalent technical discipline.
-

Minimum 3 years of experience in at least one of the following areas:
-
Software Assurance
-
Safety Engineering
-
Design Assurance
-
Software Quality Assurance
-
Certification Engineering
-
RAMS Engineering
-
-
Knowledge of software development lifecycles.
-
Understanding of safety-critical systems and regulated environments.
-
Experience performing safety assessments and analyses.
-
Familiarity with software verification and validation processes.
-
Experience with requirements management and traceability.
