About the job:
We are seeking a Professional Process Engineer / Operations Engineer to join the Operations Engineering team.
The scope of responsibilities covers Building 091/095 in the PNAE area (Process Utilities) within operations engineering/project engineering.
The ideal candidate:
Has well-founded experience as a Process Engineer or Operations Engineer with process engineering expertise, particularly in pure utilities, steam, and energy systems. Alongside technical knowledge, strong helpfulness, team spirit, good manners, and a confident professional demeanor are essential. Very good spoken and written German and English skills complete the profile.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement process engineering solutions and optimizations
- Responsible for adherence to timelines, costs, and achieving project goals
- Ensure and maintain compliance with cGMP guidelines within capital investment projects and operations engineering
- Responsibility for optimizations, modifications, and technical support for complex chemical and biotechnological plant systems, as well as executing capital investment projects from initial project definition to handover to the operator
- Responsible for active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) production (batch processes as well as continuous manufacturing processes)
- Collaboration within project teams in an interdisciplinary technical environment
Must Haves:
- University degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- Initial experience in the GMP & pharma sector
- Generally very good IT skills: Microsoft, Google
- Fluent German and good spoken and written English skills
- Positive mindset, integrity, self-reflection, and strong teamwork capabilities
- Open to new ideas and willing to challenge conventional thinking; comfortable working in a performance-oriented environment built on mutual respect, discussion, and collaboration
- Strong communicator and decisive personality with powers of persuasion, assertiveness, and an enjoyable independent work style
Nice-to-Haves:
- Process engineering knowledge in pure utilities, steam, and energy systems
- Expertise in sizing and designing equipment, pumps, and heat exchangers
