TheIndustry Analysis unit is part of the Sustainability and Economics Divisionwhich mission is to strive for air transportation’s financial and environmentalsustainability. This is a dynamic Division in an effervescent field, where werely on our analytical strengths and privileged access to airline data toproduce stellar research and analysis and provide thought leadership for ourindustry. We integrate sustainability in all our thinking and endeavors. /p pThe Macro Economist willproduce economic research and provide support primarily to the Macro-economicwork stream in the Industry Analysis unit, while shouldering additionalresponsibilities in that unit and contributing to other work streams in theDivision. The Macro Economist is expected to deliver presentations as well aspractical support to IATA’s internal and external stakeholders, including toregulators. These interactions rely on the quality of our research, programs,and solutions to help influence the policy agenda and provide cost-effectivesolutions for our airline members. Strongcollaboration is expected across the team, the Division, and IATA. /p h3What your day would be like /h3 ul li Provide economic research and analysis regarding macro-economic developments globally, regionally, and at country level as they pertain to the air transport sector. /li li Contribute to the coordination of this work across geographies. Specifically, this involves IATA’s 5 regional offices and 33 core country markets. /li li Contribute to request management, coordinate research efforts, and work to integrate contributions from the regional colleagues in the publications of the division. /li li Conduct part of the research independently, with responsibilities for specific outputs and publications. Some work will be conducted across team functions, notably more consequential analyses. /li li Outputs will take the form of reports and publications, managing stakeholders, participate in and speak at internal and external meetings and conferences as appropriate. Inputs involve the compilation and validation of data, in collaboration with colleagues in our Division and across IATA as appropriate. /li li We believe in collaborative work: it is our core strength and the key to our success. You will share your knowledge and contribute to the team’s goals. /li /ul h3We would love to hear from you if you have /h3 ul li Post-graduatedegree in Economics, PhD an advantage; /li li At least 5 years of experience in research and analysis; experience in macro-economicresearch from the banking sector or similar would be an advantage /li li Experience in drafting applied analytical publications would be an advantage; /li li Advanced econometrics and statistical analysis skills; /li li Effective time management and ability to meet tight deadlines; /li li Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluent English, otherlanguages an advantage. /li /ul pTravel Required: N /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
