The organisation effectively combines a local approach with an overall vision, guaranteeing the population a comprehensive and local hospital offer, regardless of where the services are requested. Thanks to the commitment and expertise of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relations, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations. /p pThe Regional Hospital of Lugano is the heart of acute medicine for Italian-speaking Switzerland, a university training and research hub where clinical excellence, research, and education intertwine. /p pTo complete our Pulmonology Service team, we are looking for a /p h3Head Physician (100%) /h3 h3Profile: /h3 pThe EOC Pulmonology is a dynamic and integrated service, present at 4 cantonal sites with 15 specialists, covering the entire spectrum of respiratory diseases and sleep medicine. The Regional Hospital of Lugano is its reference centre, where the most complex and innovative activities are concentrated. /p pWe offer varied and stimulating clinical work, divided between outpatient clinics at the Italian Hospital, endoscopic activities, inpatient care, and consultations at the Civic Hospital, supported by integration into a close-knit and multidisciplinary team characterised by a strong collaborative spirit and constant openness to innovation. /p pThe ideal candidate will take charge of patients with respiratory diseases, sleep breathing disorders, and will perform bronchoscopies and non-invasive and invasive instrumental examinations. They will also be available to take pulmonology on-call duties for consultations outside regular hours from all EOC sites. /p pThe role holds a key position within a cross-sectional organisation, offering concrete opportunities to actively contribute to the strategic development of the Service, with real growth and responsibility margins. /p pCompleting the picture, the direct connection with the University of Italian Switzerland opens the opportunity, delegated by the Head of Department, also to participate in teaching activities in the Master of Medicine, further enhancing the professional and academic profile of the candidate. /p h3Necessary requirements: /h3 ullidegree/diploma in medicine and specialisation in Pulmonology or equivalent title with related registration with MedReg before starting work. /li /ul pFor doctors with foreign qualifications, recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and related registration with MedReg before starting work is mandatory; /p ulliproven knowledge of the Italian language (required level at least B2) with related registration with MedReg before starting work.
