Vacancy Lab Compute Analyst Location Basel - Switzerland Hours Full-time pbLab Compute Analyst - Basel /b /p pbRole Overview: /b /p pA Zifo Lab Compute Analyst provides both consulting, analytical and technical laboratory services, including multivendor instrument, information technology as well as in-lab validation/compliance services when applicable. The individual will provide the consulting skills required to analyse customer needs and gaps to propose solutions for the desired state. They will work with business users and managers of customers in conjunction with the internal Zifo support team. /p p br/ bResponsibilities: /b /p pA Lab Compute Analyst would have the below responsibilities: /p liUnderstand problem statement/challenges /li liDefine scope /li liGather requirements /li liAssist with Validation/Compliance activities as required /li liAnalyse current state business processes and requirements /li liAssist in building plans for process improvement /li pbIT Consulting /b /p liAnalyse gaps/opportunities for improvement based on industry Best Practice /li liEvaluate Industry trends to identify areas for optimization /li liEvaluate vendor solutions and facilitate demos of prototypes as Proofs of Concept /li liRecommend process improvements that fit business needs /li pbCustomer Liaison /b /p liMeeting with internal/external service groups/leads /li liLiaise between System/Lab owners and third parties to coordinate best times for services /li liProvide weekly planning schedules for review at status meeting with customer leads /li liMonthly Operational review meetings/ Quarterly metrics reporting with department heads /li pbOn Site Lab IT Support /b /p liPerform break/fix support for all Instrument connected systems /li liImplement Windows based security policies as required /li liEnsure adherence to client's corporate policies through periodic reporting compliance programs /li liActs as the technical support contact for field service engineers and external vendors /li liProvide technical subject matter expertise for new system validation and change management /li liCreate and maintain a physical inventory of lab equipment, PC's, software, and any other information pertinent to the environment if applicable /li liPerform system preventative maintenances based on client's schedule, if applicable /li liThe Lab Compute Analyst is a mid-level role with the expectation to provide guidance and escalation support to Lab Support Technicians /li pbRequired Skills: /b /p liPreferred to hold a Bachelor of Science in computer science, life science or equivalent industry experience /li li2+ years of relevant technical experience including (but not limited to); Windows technologies, networking, remote computing and backup systems /li liExperience with virtual machine support (preferred) /li liExperience with scientific instrumentation (preferred) /li liExperience with Ignition automation software a plus but not mandatory, training will be provided /li liExcellent customer service skills complemented by an ability to listen to and interpret client requests /li liAbility to troubleshoot complex instrument and technology issues /li liStrong oral and written communication skills /li liAbility to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects /li liKnowledge of laboratory safety practices as defined by the company and/or customer’s site safety code /li liExperience collaborating in a harmonised Global service (nice to have) /li liKnowledge and awareness of generative and agentic AI tools and workflows (nice to have) /li pbAbout you: /b /p liIndependent, self-motivated results driven individual /li liWillingness ability to acquire quickly new technical skills business principles /li liAbility for Critical Thinking and Logical Reasoning /li liGood understanding of pharmaceutical research and drug Discovery development processes and biologics workflows (preferred, not required) /li p br/ bAbout Zifo: /b /p pZifo is a global RD solutions provider focused on the industries of Pharma, Biotech, Manufacturing QC, Medical Devices, specialty chemicals and other research-based organizations.
