Join Roche, where every voice matters. /p h3The Position /h3 pGroup Communications (GC) is responsible for creating a lasting positive image of Roche and represents the company's voice on a Group level: We bring clarity to complexity strengthening Roche’s reputation, advancing business outcomes, and inspiring our people to deliver innovation for patients. /p pAs part of the Executive Communications team, the Senior Executive Communicator will report to the Head of Executive Communications and serve as a trusted partner and communications expert for selected executives at Roche, creating and implementing internal and external communications worldwide. In this position, you will closely collaborate with the Head of Executive Communications to co-create and drive communication strategies that ensure members of the Roche family on the Board of Directors, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and members of the Corporate Executive Committee. Working collaboratively with other members of the Executive Communications and Global Media Relations team as well as Communications Business Partners across Internal Engagement and Digital, the Senior Executive Communicator will serve as a trusted partner and communications expert, including developing speeches, messaging, and integrated communications to amplify the voice of the Roche’s executives and reinforce our mission at Roche. The ideal candidate understands and embodies the strategic value of communications, is experienced in working directly with executive leaders and their teams, and has the ability to craft enterprise-wide narratives that reflect our passion for innovation. /p h3The Opportunity /h3 ul liCo-create executive communication strategies, including setting the strategic agenda for speaking engagements for Roche's executives /li liDraft speeches, talking points, briefings, video scripts, letters, and internal messages for Roche's executives /li liProvide rehearsals for speeches and communications training, including QAs and performance feedback /li liSupport the Global Head of External Engagement in drafting talking points for executive media interviews /li liContribute to quarterly business results reporting /li liRepresent External Engagement on various cross-functional teams and forums by providing communications subject-matter expertise /li liHelp break down silos across business areas while transferring and leveraging topics and key learnings across Roche /li /ul h3Who You Are /h3 pYou’re someone who wants to influence your own development. You’re passionate about technology and working with C-suite leaders and able to learn their unique voices. You are looking for a team where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies. /p h3Experience: /h3 ul liCorporate/public affairs experience, preferable in the biotech/pharmaceutical/diagnostics sector /li liExceptional writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to comfortably engage with all levels of the organisation and influence senior leadership /li liStrong organisational and multitasking skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and oversee several projects simultaneously /li liCross-functional project management, including managing external agencies and budgets /li liExtensive experience in managing issues and crisis communications preferred as well as strong comprehension of effective executive communications, employee engagement, channels and event management preferred /li liStrong executive presence and significant experience effectively working alongside C-suite executives /li liDigital and social media expertise, in particular, leading thought leadership programs on LinkedIn /li liFurthermore, you have a Bachelor’s degree in PR, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline and a minimum of +8 years of related experience. /li liBilingual proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken) is essential. /li /ul pThe position is based in Basel, Switzerland. /p h3Who we are /h3 pA healthier future drives us to innovate.
