Abbott is a place where science, purpose, and people come together — and where diverse perspectives are essential to building better outcomes for patients. /p h3Primary Job Function /h3 ul liResponsible for developing and implementing global supplier relationship strategies supporting all financial, operational, qualitative, and regulatory aspects. /li liDevelop supply market insight capability within the GPROC (Global Procurement) organization to increase knowledge of supply market dynamics, composition, trends, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape and business models from a macro and micro economic perspective covering procurement, and utilize this to build and maintain procurement strategies. /li liMonitor supply market dynamics across peer organizations for benchmarking purposes. /li liFocus on achieving LRP Supplier Relationship Office related savings. /li liDrive annual performance improvements via strategy work and applicable metrics. /li liBuild up and maintain supplier relationship experience roadmap and ensure that processes meet and reflect EPD overall expectations. /li liFacilitate and communicate the global supplier landscape design, implementation, optimization, and integration of the flow of materials and the related financials. /li liAssist in analysing all Supplier Cost within EPD SRO (1.650MMUSD). /li liEnsure that impacts to operations driven by regulatory requirements are minimized and/or leveraged for competitive advantage. /li liSupport the Snr Global Supplier Relationship Director to deliver specific strategic projects and initiatives. /li /ul h3Core Job Responsibilities /h3 ul liDirect, plan and execute strategic GPROC programs, including re-engineering of supplier base on a global or regional basis. Focusing on cost and supply chain continuity. /li liSupport optimization of the EPD GPROC supplier structure to expand our global supplier network, improve supplier compliance, and efficiency. /li liActively pursue a cross‑functional culture of excellence to effectively implement global supplier programs. /li liAlign programs with Operations and other EPD functional areas on goals and objectives for the global supplier process. /li liBuild and maintain close working relationships with and provide expertise to management to identify and realize improvements. /li liEffective cross‑functional and divisional stakeholder communication, collaboration and coordination. /li liLead and/or support large‑scale and sustainable change management initiatives. /li liBe a key leader in influencing the evolving EPD GPROC supplier strategy. /li liSupport global supplier integration and acquisitions. /li liStay abreast of supplier‑related regulatory requirements, providing expertise to project teams to ensure cost‑effective compliance. /li /ul h3Minimum Education /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree and/or comparable educational background required. Graduate degree or professional certification is preferred (MBA, CPA, etc.). /li /ul h3Experience Training /h3 ul li5‑10 years of global supply chain and procurement experience. /li liManagement experience (team and project management) preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. /li liExperience in managing large distribution and transportation budgets. /li liStrong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with high‑level working knowledge of SAP R/3. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 ul liProficiency in English. /li liOther languages are advantageous. /li /ul h3Skills /h3 ul liExcellent communication and concept selling skills. /li liAble to organize colleagues and actively promote the development of a cross‑functional culture of excellence and shape the future direction of the business. /li liProactive internal and external stakeholder communication, coordination and collaboration. /li liImplement agenda under rapidly changing circumstances in complex matrix environments. /li liAbility to quickly assess project developments and challenges by anticipating potential impacts for the business and resolving issues at initial stages. /li liAbility to work efficiently in complex and deadline‑driven operations, not losing focus on accuracy and quality. /li liProven track record to set priorities and adapt them accordingly at short notice. /li liEffectively work on multiple, unrelated projects simultaneously. /li liAbility to modify strategies according to market dynamics and internal requirements. /li liGlobal vision of the interactions in a demanding environment. /li liProvide expert guidance to SRO Managers and project teams, and allocate appropriate amount of time and resources for completing work. /li liWorking understanding of the supplier industries. /li liTenacity and drive needed to develop, sell and implement strategic supplier programs. /li liWork collaboratively with colleagues at all levels to achieve organizational goals. /li /ul h3Attitude / Behaviour /h3 ul liFlexible, proactive and motivated by the opportunity to optimize structures and processes. /li liAbility to judge, combined with a persuasive power. /li liGlobal and creative mindset and strategic orientation. /li liSelf‑motivated team player with a positive “can‑do” attitude.
