Legal Counsel, Industrial Company

Location(s): Geneva area (hybrid or remote) THE ROLE We are seeking a Legal Counsel for a leading international industrial and infrastructure company in Switzerland. The Legal Counsel will focus on contract review, compliance, and pragmatic legal advice that enables the business to manage legal risk while delivering projects successfully. Reporting to the Head of Legal Compliance, the successful candidate will act as a trusted business partner, supporting complex infrastructure and construction projects throughout their lifecycle. Fluency in English and French is essential for this role. RESPONSIBILITIES Act as the legal business partner for complex infrastructure and construction projects. Provide legal support throughout the project lifecycle, from tender and procurement through execution and completion. Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including construction, EPC, engineering, consultancy, procurement and supply contracts. Identify legal and commercial risks and provide pragmatic, business-oriented solutions. Advise on contract management, claims, variations and dispute avoidance. Collaborate closely with project management, procurement, finance and other key business stakeholders to support successful project delivery. QUALIFICATIONS Law degree from a French university; admission to the French Bar is an advantage. At least 5 years of relevant in-house legal experience in a multinational industrial company. Strong expertise in contract law and advising on infrastructure, construction, engineering, or industrial projects. Solid business acumen with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach. Ability to work independently while maintaining close alignment with stakeholders. High level of flexibility, reliability, and attention to detail. Fluency in English and French; German is a plus.
