Interim Head of Science & Technology

pEmpower technical excellence and shape strategic manufacturing outcomes across diverse product portfolios. /ppProclinical is seeking an Interim Head of Science Technology to provide strategic and operational leadership for a multidisciplinary technical organization. This role is based in the Switzerland with a hybrid working arrangement. You will oversee a team of senior technical managers and subject matter experts, driving technical excellence across a diverse portfolio of product modalities and a global external manufacturing network. This is a pivotal leadership position that will influence manufacturing strategy, technical innovation, and long-term product supply reliability. /ppPlease note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport. /ppbResponsibilities: /b /pliLead the global Science Technology (MSAT) organization and define its strategic direction. /liliProvide technical oversight for commercial and late-stage clinical products. /liliOversee manufacturing and analytical lifecycle management activities with external manufacturing partners. /liliManage complex technology transfers, process validations, analytical validations, scale-ups, and site transfers. /liliEstablish governance frameworks, performance metrics, and operational excellence standards. /liliCollaborate with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Development, and Product Leadership teams to deliver integrated CMC strategies. /liliAct as the senior technical interface for key external manufacturing partners and suppliers. /liliSupport technical due diligence, network strategy, and supplier selection activities. /liliDrive innovation, process robustness, and continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing network. /liliEnsure technical readiness for global regulatory submissions, inspections, and post-approval commitments. /lipbKey Skills and Requirements: /b /pliAdvanced degree in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field (PhD preferred). /liliProven leadership experience within MSAT, Science Technology, Technical Operations, Manufacturing Sciences, or CMC functions. /liliStrong track record of leading technical organizations and developing high-performing teams. /liliExtensive experience with external manufacturing networks, CMOs/CDMOs, and commercial supply chains. /liliExpertise in technology transfer, process validation, lifecycle management, and manufacturing support. /liliBroad technical knowledge across biologics, sterile products, small molecules, or advanced modalities. /liliExperience interacting with global regulatory authorities and supporting regulatory submissions. /liliOperational excellence mindset with exposure to Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies. /liliExcellent stakeholder management and influencing skills in complex global matrix organizations. br/ /li
