Network Port Manager

pbWork Hours/Schedule: /b Flexible/Monday through Saturday. /p pbPrimary purpose of position: /b Terminate and install CAT 5/6 network cables and activate ports to connect endpoints. /p pbDuties and responsibilities: /b 1. Monitor ITSM system for tickets and take action to fulfill them.2. Install connectors on ends of CAT 5/6 network cables.3. Install or repair network connections and junction boxes.4. Access network portal system.5. Identify cables that need to be replaced.6. Enable switches to accept port traffic from different endpoints.7. Update system documentation, drawings, and knowledge base articles #LI-DNI /p pbKnowledge, skills and abilities required: /b Knowledge of Juniper network systems.Skills to apply connectors to network cables.Ability to climb ladders.Ability to work in tight spaces.Ability to test cables.Ability to accurately apply port configurations. /p pbEducation Requirements/Experience: /b Interest in networks and technology required.Network internship/experience desired.Network certification desired. /p
