Computing Engineer for CMS

pIn this role you will operate the CMS Global Pool of computing resources. You will learn to monitor, maintain, and evolve the submission infrastructure of the experiment. /ph3Your responsibilities /h3ulliMonitor the HTCondor batch system used to realise the Global Pool. /liliAdjust the pool paramaters to meet the experiments computing priorities/needs. /liliUpgrade, configure, and troubleshoot components of the Global Pool. /liliCommunicate provisioning or scheduling issues and report the Global Pool status at coordination meetings. /li /ulh3Be sure to meet the eligibility criteria /h3ulliYou are a national of aCERN Member State or Associate Member State . Currently, we cannot consider applications from Pakistani and Lithuanian nationals for positions with a 2026 start date, as the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached. /liliBy the application deadline, you have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in the respective field and your highest educational qualification is either a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
