Trading Platform Manager

Responsibilities

As a Trading Platform Manager at BASF Intertrade AG, you will

ensure the proper functionality of all trading platforms and

systems globally utilized by our organization. You will be

responsible for administrating access and roles across all

execution and trading platforms, as well as the core

Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) system.

This role involves coordinating the technical development of

operational platforms and systems, acting as the senior

interface to providers.

You will be responsible for the following tasks :

• Maintain and further develop trading platform globally.
• Administer roles and access rights to trading platforms and the CTRM system, defining technical limits.
• Consult and support front desk units in deal capturing, especially for complex deal entries.
• Drive process optimizations within the trading platforms and systems, including system improvements and automated error detection and mitigation.
• Collaborate with various departments to design and implement solutions that bolster business and operational objectives.
• Provide or support requirements documentation, testing, and consulting on the usage of all tools around CTRM Project Management (i.e., Jira).
• Participate in internal and external projects, and / or related project management.
• Produce and update training materials and facilitate training for the front office.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in finance, economics, business administration or equivalent experience in financial derivatives markets, hedging mechanisms, multi-commodity deal evaluation, market risk management.
• IT skills related to the job content.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality of work, with experience leading cross-team projects.
• Result-focused, well-organized, and a team player.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong plus.
