My duties

• Monitor and share strategic insights on our client’s seaborne competitors
• Develop alternative market scenarios for iron ore supply in a decarbonized world, to be used as the main reference of our client’s ferrous minerals strategic planning cycle and commercial strateg
• Conduct in-depth analyses on the depletion trends for iron ore mines on a global basis
• Issue Market Intel reports on seaborne pellets and iron ore; update related databases
• Provide negotiation material for Quarterly Seaborne Pellet Premium discussion with clients and to assess blast furnace pellet and direct reduction pellet premia for seaborne benchmark
• Coordinate long-term supply forecast 1x year
• Participate in Quarterly Report preparation for the Iron Ore Solutions’ Vice-President and IR Team
• Participate in Market Intel’s Origination Desk activities
• Close cooperation and being a focal point between Brazil teams and Market Intel supply team
• Update EU, MENA & Americas, Asia ex-China line-up reports and related Power BI’s
• Cooperate with Sales and Technical teams with market analyses and base case calculations
• Cooperate with Shipping team on Cargo matrix
• Organize payment and renewal of Market Intel Switzerland subscriptions
• Cooperate on VPS related activities

My qualifications

• Experience in international trade, marketing or related field
• Proeficiency in English and Portuguese
• Posses search engines, web analytics, and business research tools acumen
• Excellent knowledge of statistical packages, databases and MS Office
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Profound knowledge of mining industry
• Profound knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc)
• Knowledge with CRM programs
• Analytical and critical thinking
• Advise clients or senior management on the best ways to use provided data
