Marketing Assistant (Global Team)

Job Description

We are looking for a driven, proactive and service minded Marketing Assistant to join the Global Marketing team. In this role, you will be a key player in supporting the Global Marketing Manager to develop and cascade marketing tools, services and initiatives for territories where Chiquita bananas are distributed.

You will work on key marketing projects with internal teams and external contractors. Our ideal candidate has experience with project management and coordinating events and has a great deal of self-sufficiency in staying organized and accomplishing their duties.

The position will be based in Etoy, Switzerland reporting to the Global Marketing Manager.

The Position

The purpose of this role is to assist the Global Marketing Manager to deploy marketing tools and services to strengthen the Chiquita brand and accelerate Chiquita banana sales

Primary responsibilities

• Consumer promotions and point of sale activations :
• Support the regional marketing teams in implementing the Global Marketing Strategy into consumer activities
• Support the development and execution of consumer marketing activities in defined territories and account specific promotions in cooperation with regional sales team
• Develop, evaluate and monitor deployment of in store materials, display solutions and other sales materials for field sales team
• Development of corporate merchandising materials, POSM and display materials
• Administrative tasks :
• Marketing budget monitoring per market
• Invoice processing and quarterly marketing budget reconciliation

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. French / Spanish are a plus
• Problem analysis and problem solving
• Strong organization and planning
• Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint Microsoft applications
• Ability to deliver positive results in a team working environment with a diverse group of internal and external customers
• 1 year of experience in similar roles

Education

BA / BS in Marketing or Business Required
