Health Economist in Global Market Access – Health Economics / HTA / AI applications / R / English

For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Rotkreuz we are looking for Health Economist in Global Market Access (m/f/d).

Background:

As Health Economist in Global Market Access, you will be part of the Access Evidence Chapter, accountable for delivering evidence enabling the intended market access strategy for the assigned products. In this role, you will generate AI-enabled Global Value Dossiers and co-develop and locally adapt health economic models (i.e., cost-effectiveness, budget impact) in R and MS Excel.

The perfect candidate:

The ideal candidate is a technical expert who bridges the gap between traditional decision-analytic modeling and modern AI-enabled evidence generation. They possess the specialized ability to build complex simulations from scratch in R and Excel/VBA while translating those findings into strategic Global Value Dossiers for HTA bodies. With a strong foundation in health economics and a track record of scientific publication, they excel at navigating matrix environments to secure pricing and reimbursement for life-changing therapies.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

● Co-develop and adapt health economic models using AI, to support evidence generation, market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategies in diverse disease areas, e.g. cardiovascular, diabetes, infectious diseases or neurology

● Generate AI-enabled Global Value Dossiers for use by affiliates, including work flows for easy local adaptation and potentially external use

● Communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences, including non-expert audiences and external stakeholders such as health technology assessment (HTA) bodies

● Publications: Co-develop related publication plans, and deliver abstracts, publications and external value communications

Must Haves:

● Min. Master’s degree (MSc or MA) in Health Economics, Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related and relevant quantitative field

● At least 3 years of experience in health economics

● Ideally a track record of scientific publications

● Demonstrated experience in developing decision-analytic models (e.g., Markov models, discrete-event simulations) from scratch

● Solid knowledge of health economic evaluations and HTA (Health Technology Assessment) requirements

● Strong computer skills including advanced MS Excel modelling (VBA) and R

● Familiarity with AI applications (Gemini) in health economics and outcomes research

● Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to

collaborate effectively in a matrix environment

Nice to have:

● Experience working in multiple therapeutic areas
