We are looking for an experienced communication and project management talent (m / f / d) for our office. This position is part of the Global Dialogues team, which is tasked with making the research of the University of Zurich (UZH) more visible to relevant target groups in academia, diplomacy, and industry. The role also works across the office, supporting communication projects for all teams, as well as collaborating with other communication units across the organization to the benefit of UZH as a whole. In this role, you will enhance the visibility of UZH's activities and global impact by engaging with broader international audiences.
You will be planning, designing, and implementing communication and visibility measures to ensure that the right audience can be reached effectively and efficiently. This includes creating and curating engaging content for our website and social media channels, as well as developing new channels to engage with our stakeholders – both online and offline. You will collaborate with internal partners, particularly the central communications team of UZH, as well as external partners (university networks, partner universities, etc.), to achieve targeted outreach to additional audiences. Moreover, you will analyze the performance data of digital channels and identify opportunities for improvement. You will create target-group-specific editorial and multimedia content that make scientific topics accessible to the desired audiences.
Moreover, as an open-minded communication professional with a hands-on attitude, you are keen to support and eager to learn about organizing visibility events and hosting international guests at UZH.
Ihr Profil
- At least) Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Marketing, Political Science / International Relations or related field, ideally with additional training in Communications, Marketing and / or Content Creation.
- Fluent in German and English; proficiency in other languages is an asset.
- A communication professional with a global perspective who enjoys working on projects and across functions.
- Possesses strong writing skills and able to craft engaging texts.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication campaigns.
- Experience with creative graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and Content Management Systems (CMS); experience with video editing software and “new media” (such as podcasts, webinars) is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain an overview even in turbulent times and used to managing multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working on projects with cross-functional teams to deliver on shared goals.
- Some) experience in event management, or interest and openness to learning about it.
- Positive attitude to new challenges, eager to learn and bring in new ideas, and comfortable navigating the international academic arena and university environment.
