The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team of engineers and process enthusiasts. We develop, manufacture, and run production equipment for the cosmetics, food and pharma market to provide high quality products for our customers and consumers. Our team is currently working on scaling up our first commercial production plant to bring products to market in the Fine Fragrance sector. Our product has the potential to reshape this industry.

The Impact

As a Mechanical Engineer at Microcaps, you will play a crucial role in developing and designing our future encapsulation process systems and help us rapidly scale beyond the current capacity to fulfil customer demand. With your innovative spirit and industrial experience, you will bring new ideas and approaches to the development of our production equipment. Your professional experience with clean process plants makes you a key player in improving and upgrading our continuous running process whilst maintaining the highest quality product output.

Tasks

• Be part of a multi-disciplinary team that develops, assembles, tests and commissions novel process equipment for microencapsulation processes.
• Immediately start to work on how we scale the current set up as volumes increase.
• Collaborate with the research and formulations team on process plant specifications for different markets.
• Take responsibility for your own projects, stay in budget, within specifications for an on-time delivery.
• Create product documentation (i.e. assembly, maintenance & user manuals).
• Challenge the status quo constantly while suggesting novel solutions to difficult engineering problems.
• Work on continuously improving our environmental footprint.
