As a leading global wealth manager, lombard and mortgage lending solutions are an integral part of our product offering. As part of our continuing effort to maintain highest standards in credit risk management we are currently expanding our credit portfolio management activities and capabilities. For this journey we are looking for a highly skilled individual who can shape and lead the credit portfolio management unit with a visionary mindset, a can-do attitude and a colaborative spirit.
As a member of the management team of the Credit Business & Portfolio Management organization, the candidate will interact closely with a broad range of stakeholders including JB’s top management in proacitvely shaping the credit risk appetite and steering the credit portfolio accoringly. The candidate will be responsible for definining and overseeing a broad range of initiatives, such as the enhancement of risk models and the credit stress testing framework. This role is located in Zürich but requires frequent interactions with colleagues around the globe.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Lead three teams (total 7 - 10 FTE) of highly skilled individuals (“Lombard Methods & Valuation”, “Credit Portfolio Management & Risk Models” and “Projects & Policies / Governance”)
Provide regular proactive portfolio steering guidance and advice to the bank’s top management
Act as a trusted partner for the bank’s management in shaping the strategic direction of the credit business as well as the risk appetite
Continuously monitor and analyze the credit portfolio and generate in-depth insights
Enhance and maintain a comprehensive stress-testing framework
Act as subject matter expert in a wide range of credit and business projects
Observe regulatory and market trends and analyze implications for the credit portfolio
Serve as the deputy to the head of the Credit Shared Services department
Identify development needs within Credit Portfolio Management, define the roadmap and oversee its implementation
Foster an environment of collaboration and continuous learning within the team
Support team members in their professional development
YOUR PROFILE
Master degree or PhD in finance, business administration, economics, engineering or related discipline
In depth knowledge of and experience in the credit business (ideally in risk management)
Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a similar role
Strong conceptual skills and quantitative understanding
Ability to communicate effectively across hierarchy levels including the board and executive level
Proven leadership and project management skills
Proficiency in English is a must (German a plus)
Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
