The Role
The Senior Test Automation Development Engineer is the Quality Assurance (QA) expert in our product development team who continuously strives to optimise and automate so that quality feedback remains reliable, complete, and fast.
As a Senior Test Automation Development Engineer, you have strong experience in test automation and the Java / Kotlin ecosystem. You will be working on a range of technologies and test methods; from Playwright-based browser tests to performance and access testing.
The QA team is always extending its coverage and therefore introducing new test approaches. Your knowledge in systems programming helps you while finding quality issues under specific circumstances.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and execute automated tests.
- Design and implement frameworks and infrastructure for automated testing.
- Analyse and validate optimal automated and manual testing approaches, execute acceptance, integration, installation, and system testing.
- Identify and report bugs.
- Introduce new quality-related product features.
- Conduct acceptance testing on release candidates and coordinate with the Product Owner to make release decisions.
- Collaborate with R&D members to identify and address quality issues across all levels, contributing to any part of the code base to resolve quality issues.
- Coordinate with product management, software and support engineers to deliver stable enterprise software products.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualificationAt least one previous role in automation testingStructured and methodical approach to work; adept at analysing and troubleshooting software issuesProven work experience in software development or software quality assuranceProficient in Java and / or Kotlin with strong software design skills, especially in object-oriented designExperience in cloud computing, preferably GCPHands-on experience with white box and black box testingFluent in EnglishPlus :
