Position Summary The Business Development Senior Associate will be responsible for supporting the President and Chief Legal Officer (GSI) and other members of the management team in business development activities. Identify strategic business opportunities, partnerships, alliances, licensing agreements, or company opportunities aligned with the company's business plan, strategy, and product portfolio. Responsibilities Work closely with the President and Chief Legal Officer (GSI) to : identify and assess potential partnering opportunities based on complementary technologies, assessment of science and clinical and commercial potential, and fit with business strategy; prepare and negotiate term sheets; and negotiate business terms of collaboration, license and other partnering agreements Act as BD’s liaison to Genevant’s R&D team with regard to collaboration matters Develop and maintain current knowledge of the competitive landscape based on a strong understanding of Genevant's nucleic acid delivery and development platforms Market Genevant as a nucleic acid delivery as a partner of choice, including representing Genevant at partnering and similar events with the objective of growing Genevant’s network in Europe Identify and implement efficiencies throughout the business development process Lead or support due diligence processes as required Requirements, Knowledge, skills, and abilities : Minimum 2 years’ of experience in business development / licensing / market analysis / legal (complex commercial agreements) in the biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry Willingness to work Eastern Time hours (i.e., a regular workday of 13 : 00 – 21 : 00 CET) to promote collaboration with colleagues in the Eastern Time Zone and Pacific Time Zone Self-motivated with ability to effectively work independently and with colleagues located in different offices and time zones Ability to communicate complex documents and technical matters for stakeholders of various backgrounds Top-notch writing and communication skills Highly proficient in MS Office : Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint Preferred : Advanced degree (PhD in relevant discipline, JD, MBA) General understanding of the drug development process Benefits We’ve worked to create an environment at Genevant that makes our people feel empowered, supported and appreciated so they can focus on doing incredible work that can change the future.
