System Engineer | Network Engineer (m / f / d)

Your first insight :

If you are a computer specialist with a passion, then you can set the digital course with us as a System Engineer | Network Engineer (m / f / d) so that our hardware and software solutions work in our customers' IT infrastructures all over the world. Our 10-strong team in the heart of Karlsruhe creates the technical basis for our customer projects and we need reinforcements for this.

What you can expect :

Your core tasks are the provision and support of IT infrastructures in our national and international customer projects for sustainable local public transport. You act as an integrator between the various specialist departments within INIT and form the fundamental interface between hardware and software.

Here is an insight into your tasks :

In coordination with our technical project teams and our customers, you will take care of the provision of the required resources (on-premise, virtual and in the cloud)
Among other things, you set up network and security infrastructures, virtualization platforms, Active Directory and configure operating systems and services in this context
Monitoring and carrying out 2nd / 3rd level error analyses and troubleshooting in cooperation with our development department are part of your job
As part of your role, you will work on the creation of our technical concepts and documentation for our worldwide tenders
You continuously eliminate vulnerabilities and support the further development of our customers' infrastructures and their services as the basis for a sustainable and secure INIT system
It is important to you to contribute your technical knowledge and expand it together with us - then you've come to the right place!

What you bring with you :

You have completed an apprenticeship, further training, a similar technical degree (with a focus on IT) or can demonstrate relevant professional experience

Good skills in dealing with hardware as well as network and storage technologies

Good knowledge in the administration of operating systems (Microsoft and Linux) as well as basics in virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and their data security (e.g. Veeam and Symantec)

Experience with cloud technologies would be ideal!

You enjoy occasional customer visits to experience the results of your work live on site

You communicate confidently in German and English and show initiative - if you speak other languages such as French, great, but this is not a must

If you don't have in-depth experience in every area, we still look forward to receiving your application!
