Coordinate with partners on cabling and hardware installations. /liliVirtualisation Platforms: Manage virtualisation platforms, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, capacity management and availability. /liliOperational Stability: Monitor system performance and environmental conditions, identify and elevate potential issues, and follow standard operating procedures. Participate in incident, problem, change and lifecycle management, including the on-call rota. Contribute to disaster recovery, resilience and business continuity planning. /liliStorage and Backup Management: Support the deployment, configuration and maintenance of storage solutions. /liliAutomation and Projects: Drive the implementation of automation and Infrastructure as Code to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation processes, and participate in proofs of concept to evaluate and integrate new technologies. /liliCollaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with fellow engineers and team members, support other departments, and contribute to team meetings, brainstorming sessions and knowledge sharing. /liliHybrid Cloud Adoption: Support hybrid cloud adoption and integration with existing Data Centre services. /li /ulh3Skills and Experience /h3ulliSubstantial experience in enterprise Data Centre engineering. /liliStrong knowledge of compute, storage, virtualisation, operating systems and backup technologies. /liliExperience with virtualisation platforms and their associated management ecosystems. /liliKnowledge of storage protocols, data protection, replication and high-availability concepts. /liliUnderstanding of infrastructure monitoring, capacity management and performance optimisation. /liliExperience with scripting, automation and Infrastructure as Code. /liliFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure and hybrid operating models. /liliUnderstanding of security baselines, privileged access and infrastructure hardening. /liliExperience supporting critical platforms in a structured operational environment. /liliBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. /liliTypically, six to ten years of relevant experience, or demonstrable expertise appropriate to the role. /liliExperience coordinating the work of others or contributing to technical projects is desirable. /liliStrong understanding of platform reliability, security, resilience and operational excellence. /liliExperience participating in incident, problem, change and lifecycle management. /liliAbility to document technical solutions and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. /liliCommitment to continuous learning, professional development and relevant industry accreditations. /liliA collaborative, improvement-focused and automation-oriented approach to engineering. /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
