Technical Project Coordinator - Vibration Monitoring Systems

Position

-For both new-sales and service business, analysis of internal and external requirements, proposals and project ideas; derive and consolidate development needs.

-Set-up of development projects with respect to technical work packages, team setup, interfaces, roles and responsibilities.

-Coordinate mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, software and data engineering activities.

-Drive system integration from sensors and data acquisition hardware through monitoring software and control system interfaces including autonomous and stand-alone AI applications.

-Oversee the complete measurement chain and ensure integration of instrumentation, including explosion protection and signal quality considerations.

-Coordinate lifecycle support concepts for power plant applications, including aspects of cybersecurity and big data management.

-Manage technical interfaces with suppliers, universities and internal stakeholders.

-Support qualification, validation, commissioning, product rollout and ongoing product support.

-Ensure complete CE-compliant documentation covering installation, operation and maintenance.

Requirements

-University degree in mechanical engineering, preferably with a focus on turbomachinery, mechatronics, aerospace, automation, energy technology or process technology.

-Ability to work in distributed, multidisciplinary and multicultural teams with complex technical and organizational interfaces.

-Experience in system integration or technical project coordination.

-Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.

-Preferably, experience with dynamic measurements (vibration and acoustics) and development of industrial software and of AI-based applications.

-Preferably, practical experience in power plants, gas turbines or aero‑engine applications.

-Availability to travel up to 20% to the Ansaldo Energia sites (Genoa, Baden, Birr), commercial and university partners, construction sites, power plants.

-Excellent command of English; German is an advantage; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
