Working Student Design, Fabrication & Visualisation (40)

VAULTED AG is a Swiss deep-tech scale-up born out of research at ETH Zurich and the EMPA innovation ecosystem. We combine engineering computational design digital fabrication and advanced manufacturing to deliver lightweight low-carbon structural floor systems.

We are entering an exciting growth phase and are looking for a motivated student to support our Design & Engineering Team. This ongoing flexible 40% role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience alongside their studies.

Tasks

• Produce technical drawings and diagrams for ongoing projects
• Create high-quality renderings to communicate design ideas internally and to clients
• Work primarily with Rhino and Grasshopper
• Support physical prototyping and fabrication when needed including preparing files for 3D printing running prints and basic post-processing
• Collaborate closely with the Design & Engineering Team on innovative building-system projects

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in architecture design engineering or a related degree programme
• Strong working knowledge of Rhino and Grasshopper
• Experience with rendering software such as V-Ray Enscape KeyShot or similar is a plus
• Interest in or basic experience with 3D printing and physical prototyping is a plus
• Precise detail-oriented and able to work independently after briefing
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
