HR Generalist

The Position

We are looking for a curious, hands-on and motivated HR Generalist to join our HR team and support a broad range of HR activities across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the HR Director and HR Services Lead, you will gain practical exposure to HR operations, recruitment, reporting, employee administration and HR projects in a fast-paced and growing environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is studying or has recently completed studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Administration or a related field and is looking to build a broad understanding of HR while taking ownership of day-to-day activities.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Generalist will:

• Support the maintenance and accuracy of employee data in our HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring information is complete and up to date.
• Support time tracking, absence management and related reporting, including follow-up on open topics.
• Assist with the preparation and review of monthly payroll inputs and payroll-related information.
• Support the HR team in communicating and coordinating with relevant authorities and insurance providers, particularly in relation to sickness and accident cases.
• Coordinate interviews, support candidates throughout the recruitment process and, depending on experience, conduct selected interviews independently.
• Support the administration of employee benefits, company gifts and other employee-related services, including ordering and stock management.
• Support the preparation of regular HR reports and monthly KPIs for management, ensuring data is accurate and meaningful.
• Contribute to improving HR systems, data quality and processes, including opportunities to automate recurring activities and make our processes more efficient.
• Support HR projects, employee events and other ad-hoc initiatives, depending on business needs.

Job Requirements

• Currently studying or recently completed studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Administration or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in HR, administration or a comparable role is an advantage.
• Structured and reliable way of working, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Curious, proactive and willing to take on new topics and learn by doing.
• Strong attention to detail and an affinity for data, systems and process improvement.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing different priorities.
• Open and clear communication style, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
• Fluent in English and German (both languages are required for the role).
• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with HRIS or other digital HR tools is an advantage.
• Availability to work 60–80% FTE.
