Operations and Finance Manager (M/F/D) - 80/100%

FenX is seeking an Operations & Finance Manager to support the company's growth and professionalization. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will act as the operational backbone of the organization, ensuring smooth execution across finance administration, HR administration, office operations, and company governance.

This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strong organizational skills, financial acumen, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.

Tasks

• Own cash planning, liquidity forecasting, and accounting coordination
• Monitor budgets, reporting, KPIs and the company financial model
• Develop forecasts, cash runway scenarios, and financing plans
• Full ownership and independent management of year-end closing
• Partner with the CEO on financing, hiring, and investment decisions
• Coordinate grant management, reporting, and project tracking
• Manage recruitment administration and employee lifecycle processes
• Oversee contracts, payroll, and HR administration
• Support contract management and legal follow-up
• Coordinate office operations, facilities, insurance, and service providers
• Leverage digital, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency and decision-making

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or a related field, or equivalent professional education (KV) and experience
• 5+ years experience in operations, administration, finance administration or business operations
• Strong financial modeling and Excel skills, including experience maintaining planning, forecasting or liquidity models
• Experience in an SME, startup, scale-up, or technology-driven environment is a strong advantage
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Good understanding of budgeting and financial reporting
• Hands-on, pragmatic, and detail-oriented, with a willingness to take ownership
• Experience working with external accountants and payroll providers
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English and German
