Your mission

The supplementary benefits service (SPC) is responsible for paying supplementary benefits:

  • federal and/or cantonal to persons receiving an AHV or IV pension.
  • cantonal to low-income families, that is to say households with children whose earned income does not allow them to cover the basic expenses necessary to meet vital needs;
  • federal transitional benefits intended for persons over 60 who have exhausted their unemployment benefits.

The supplementary benefits aim to ensure that entitled persons have a genuine "minimum social assistance income". They supplement the beneficiary's own resources (pensions, salaries, etc.) in order to cover their "vital needs".

In this context, as head of the GED-Montage group, you lead the unit's activity and ensure the management and preservation of the documents necessary for processing benefit files. You supervise the team, organise production, and continuously improve document processes.

You also ensure the optimisation of building occupancy, identify the needs for layout, and coordinate the necessary work. In this capacity, you participate in the logistical organisation and coordination of the service's events. You are also responsible for the building's fire safety and ensure the application of prevention measures and safety instructions.

Your profile

Education

  • You hold a commercial baccalaureate, supplemented by a CAS in management or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in a field related to document management, logistics, or a comparable role.
  • You also have confirmed experience in team leadership.
  • Knowledge of social insurance is an asset.

Specific knowledge

  • Proven experience in team management and strong managerial skills.
  • Good knowledge of social insurances (PC, AHV/IV, LRDU, LAMal, etc.).
  • Public service orientation and understanding of organisational and financial issues.
  • Strong organisational skills, autonomy, analytical ability, and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Stress resistance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and tact.
  • Proficiency in IT tools (MS Office).
Your benefits

You will join a public administration whose core values are respect, integrity, impartiality, and availability; where gender equality is guaranteed. You will also have the opportunity to join a motivated team within a department working for better social cohesion in our canton.

Furthermore, you will benefit from comprehensive additional training, namely:

  • internal training on AHV/IV supplementary benefits as well as related IT environments;
  • training in the field of social insurance provided through AGEAS (Geneva Association of Social Insurance Employees)
