As an inspector, you ensure that this remains the case: Together with your team, you check with manufacturers and traditional or online distributors that the products offered for sale in Switzerland meet the requirements of the Federal Act on Product Safety (PrSA).Start date: December 1st or by agreementProduct Safety Engineer, 60%Your tasks- You check products available in Switzerland to identify potential compliance and safety deficits, you get in touch with the competent economic operators and order, if necessary, corrective measures within the framework of a procedure.- You design and implement random inspection programs, sometimes in cooperation with other market surveillance authorities.- You assist companies affected by a product recall and ensure that the public and consumers are informed of this.- You collaborate closely with the internal legal department.Your profile- BSc in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or wood technology or equivalent as well as a few years of professional experience, preferably in the field of product development, product testing, or in a quality department.- Knowledge of product compliance is desired.- Team spirit and ease with consulting and negotiation activities.- Comfortable with administrative tasks.- French or German with good knowledge of the other language as well as good command of English.Interested?Do not hesitate to contact the head of the Market Surveillance: Product Safety section for any further information.
