This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organization’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery. /p ppbKey Responsibilities: /b /p /p p● Hardware Cabling Supportbr/○ Perform rack and stack of servers, switches, routers, and other IT hardware.br/○ Power cycle equipment, check LED indicators, and perform basic diagnostics onbr/servers and network devices.br/○ Unbox and prepare hardware during installation; remove and un-rackbr/decommissioned equipment.br/○ Replace or add hot-swappable components (e.g., RAID drives, memory, blades).br/○ Support firmware/driver upgrades and remote management configuration perbr/instructions.br/● Network Connectivity Tasksbr/○ Assist in setup, patching, and basic troubleshooting of network devices andbr/cabling.br/○ Check and re-patch physical network connectivity as guided by the remotebr/support team.br/○ Support fiber patch cord replacements, patch panel troubleshooting, and wirelessbr/access point installation/testing.br/● Remote Team Collaborationbr/○ Act as on-site hands for remote teams—executing commands, reportingbr/equipment status, and performing visual/audio verifications.br/○ Relay console messages or error states to remote teams.br/○ Execute commands on behalf of the remote team when required.br/● Media Backup Handlingbr/○ Manage backup tape operations: load/unload tapes, inventory tracking, andbr/coordination with offsite storage vendors.br/○ Assist in resolution of media-related issues (e.g., stuck tapes or ATL faults).br/● Vendor Facilities Coordinationbr/○ Liaise with third-party vendors for replacements or installations as instructed.br/○ Coordinate access and activities with facilities and security teams forbr/maintenance, rack movements, or site surveys.br/○ Participate in pre-installation/site surveys including power, cabling, and mountingbr/coordination.br/● Documentation Reportingbr/○ Maintain asset inventory and cable tagging.br/○ Verify cable dressing as per client standards after any changes.br/○ Report abnormalities, status updates, and physical inspections to the remotebr/support team.br/○ Maintain up-to-date diagrams and maps for cooling, power, network flow, andbr/physical layouts.br/Requirements: /p ppbQualifications Required: /b /p /p p● Diploma or degree in IT, Electronics, or related field.br/● 2+ years in data centre or field support roles.br/● Basic knowledge of networking, server hardware, and storage systems.br/● Familiarity with cabling (Ethernet/fiber), patch panels, and remote management tools.br/● Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.br/● Strong communication and coordination skills.br/● Willingness to work flexible shifts or be on-call as needed. /p ppbbr/Working Conditions: /b /p /p pOn-site support required.br/Occasional lifting of equipment (up to 25 lbs).br/Flexible schedule or after-hours support may be needed during maintenance windows or emergencies. /p pbWhat next? /b /p pIf you are looking for that next challenge in your career and wish to apply for this role, please forward your resume to @ /p
