pAs an Electrical Engineer, your main role will be to design and develop electronic hardware for our C-UAV platforms and own the overall electrical system architecture. /p pYou will be in a team, responsible for all electrical subsystems required to operate the drone in real-world deployments, including power distribution and charging infrastructure (power management, battery interfaces, protection and safety circuits), as well as communication and connectivity interfaces (data links, RF modules, antennas, wiring, and integration of external connection ports). /p h2Tasks /h2 pstrongRESPONSIBILITY /strong /p ul liDesign and electrical components like voltage regulators, and power distribution for drones. /li liCreate and test electronic circuits and PCBs for flight controllers, sensors, and embedded systems. /li liDevelop and code software packages for embedded system and interfaces /li liIntegrate and calibrate sensors such as IMUs, GPS, cameras, LiDar, magnometers. /li liImplement communication systems for reliable telemetry and communication. /li liConduct testing and validation of hardware under real-world conditions and environmental stress. /li liDocument designs and coordinate with teams for smooth integration with mechanical and software systems. /li /ul h2Requirements /h2 pstrongREQUIREMENTS /strong /p ul liProficiency in schematic capture and PCB design (e.g. Altium, KiCad, Eagle) /li liProficiency in rapid prototyping and iterative testing /li liFamiliarity with embedded systems and interfaces (MCUs, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN) /li liSolid programming skills in python and/or C++ /li liAbility to work autonomously and solve complex technical challenges. /li liExcellent written and verbal communication in English. /li liMSc in Electrical Engineering or similar field with strong academic records (ETH Zürich or University of Applied Sciences) /li /ul pstrongNICE TO HAVE /strong /p ul liFamiliarity with flight controllers and avionics stacks (PX4, ArduPilot, custom FCs) /li liExperience with EMI/EMC mitigation /li liExperience with electrical components for multicopters (ESCs, sensors, PDBs) /li liExperience with sourcing electrical components /li /ul h2Benefits /h2 pstrongWHY CDDS /strong /p ul liDirect impact on a mission‑critical technology shaping Europe’s security landscape /li liFast‑moving startup environment with high ownership /li liWork with a highly technical, ambitious, and hands‑on team /li liReal‑world testing, deployments, and customer demonstrations /li liAttractive compensation /li /ul pstrongDETAILS /strong /p ul liLocation: Hardbrucke (Zurich), on‑site /li liStart date: ASAP /li liEnvironment: Rapidly growing deep‑tech startup, high‑impact mission /li /ulbr
