We develop and manufacture opto‑electronic components and laser diodes used across industrial, optical data transmission, life science, and other high‑precision applications worldwide. /p h3Senior Fab Procurement Manager /h3 pThe Senior Manager, Fab Procurement is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that support Coherent’s global wafer fabrication operations. This role leads a team of procurement professionals responsible for direct materials, capital equipment, and strategic supplier relationships. The position drives cost competitiveness, supply continuity, risk mitigation, supplier performance, and operational excellence while supporting the company’s manufacturing, growth, and technology objectives. /p h3What you will be doing... /h3 ul liDevelop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies for global wafer fabrication operations. /li liLead sourcing across direct materials, capital equipment, and critical manufacturing services. /li liDrive cost savings, supplier innovation, inventory improvements, and supply risk reduction. /li liLead supplier performance management, business reviews, and improvement plans. /li liManage supplier risk assessments, business continuity, and mitigation strategies. /li liNegotiate complex commercial agreements, long‑term contracts, and capital equipment purchases. /li liEstablish and monitor KPIs covering cost, quality, delivery, inventory, and working capital. /li liPartner with senior cross‑functional stakeholders and provide executive‑level updates on supplier performance and supply risks. /li liLead, coach, and develop procurement team members. /li /ul h3About You /h3 ul li12+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or materials management. /li liStrong expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier development, and complex negotiations. /li liExperience in semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or a highly regulated manufacturing environment preferred. /li liStrong commercial, analytical, financial, and stakeholder management skills. /li liExperience with ERP and MRP systems. /li liBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field. /li liYou are customer oriented and at ease in effectively interacting with various internal and external stakeholders. /li liYour excellent English and German language skills (oral and written) allow you to efficiently communicate at any level of the organisation. /li /ul pEnsure adherence to company’s values (ICARE) in all aspects of your position: /p ul libI /bntegrity – Create an Environment of Trust /li libC /bollaboration – Innovate Through the Sharing of Ideas /li libA /bccountability – Own the Process and the Outcome /li libR /bespect – Recognize the Value in Everyone /li libE /bnthusiasm – Find a Sense of Purpose in Work /li /ul h3Application Selection: /h3 pCurrent employees who wish to apply should submit a cover letter detailing their interest in the position and how their skills and experience align with the requirements of the role. /p pIf you require any adjustments or accommodations during the application process, please reach out to bAllegra Mousaw /b.
