The candidate will serve as the technical and functional reference point for the design, development, and governance of Business Intelligence solutions, working in a multilingual, international environment in close collaboration with client business units, IT teams, and senior management. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 pbDesign Development /b /p ul liDesign and develop advanced reports, dashboards, and data models in Power BI, including paginated reports via Power BI Report Builder /li liDefine and maintain the enterprise semantic model (star schema, tabular models) on Power BI / Analysis Services /li liWrite complex DAX and M queries for business transformations and KPI calculations /li liManage integrations with heterogeneous data sources: data warehouses, SQL Server, Azure, APIs, flat files /li /ul pbGovernance Architecture /b /p ul liDefine development guidelines, naming conventions, and best practices across the BI perimeter /li liOversee Power BI Service management (workspaces, shared datasets, gateways, row‑level security) /li liSupport implementation of solutions on Microsoft Fabric / Azure Synapse environments /li liEnsure data quality and KPI traceability (data lineage, dataset certification) /li /ul pbBanking Regulatory /b /p ul liTranslate regulatory requirements (DORA, BCBS 239, FINMA prudential reporting, AML/KYC monitoring) into structured reporting solutions /li liDevelop control dashboards covering: credit risk, liquidity, capital adequacy, commercial performance, and compliance /li liCollaborate with Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams on data and model validation /li /ul pbLeadership Stakeholder Management /b /p ul liLead a team of BI developers and analysts (mentoring, code review, task assignment) /li liEngage with CIOs, CFOs, Chief Risk Officers, and business leads for requirements gathering and output presentation /li liManage delivery priorities across multiple parallel workstreams in Agile environments /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 pbTechnical /b /p ul li6+ years of experience in BI/Data Analytics, with at least 5 years focused on Power BI /li liAdvanced proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M) /li liSolid experience with SQL (T‑SQL or PL/SQL), relational and dimensional data modeling /li liKnowledge of Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks) and/or Microsoft Fabric /li liFamiliarity with versioning tools (Git) and Agile/Scrum methodologies /li /ul pbFunctional – Banking /b /p ul liDirect experience in banks, financial institutions, or consulting firms serving banking clients /li liStrong understanding of sector‑specific processes and data: management accounting, ALM, regulatory reporting, credit portfolio, commercial KPIs /li liFamiliarity with the Swiss regulatory framework (FINMA, Banking Act, DORA) is a significant advantage /li /ul pbLanguages /b /p ul liItalian: fluent (required) /li liEnglish: fluent (required) /li liFrench and/or German: a plus /li /ul pbSoft Skills /b /p ul liMethodological rigor and strong data quality orientation /li liAbility to communicate complex insights to non‑technical and senior stakeholders /li liAutonomy, proactivity, and problem‑solving attitude in structured, regulated environments /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liMicrosoft PL‑300 (Power BI Data Analyst) and/or DP‑600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer) certification /li liExperience with data catalog or data quality tools (e.g. Microsoft Purview, Collibra) /li liKnowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics integrable within Power BI /li liPrior experience in Switzerland or with Swiss/Ticino financial market clients /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 ul liPermanent contract based in Lugano /li liCompetitive compensation package aligned with Swiss market standards /li liHybrid working model (on‑site in Lugano + remote) /li liInternational, multicultural environment with exposure to high‑impact digital transformation projects in banking /li liProfessional growth path and support for Microsoft certification /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
