As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Basel. /ppbThe Role /b /ppAs a Senior Process Engineer, you will support engineering activities during the Conceptual and Basic Design phases of pharmaceutical facility and manufacturing projects. You will be responsible for developing User Requirement Specifications (URS), conducting risk assessments, performing process engineering calculations, and supporting the design of pharmaceutical systems, equipment, and cleanroom facilities. /ppThis role requires close collaboration with clients, users, multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery within GMP-regulated environments. /p br/b Responsibilities /bbr/br/pbResponsibilities /b /pliSupport process engineering activities during the Conceptual and Basic Design phases of pharmaceutical projects. /liliDevelop and review User Requirement Specifications (URS), technical specifications, process calculations, and risk assessments. /liliContribute to the design and evaluation of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, process equipment, and utility systems. /liliSupport the design and review of systems such as CIP units, washing machines, isolators, and other process-related equipment. /liliPrepare and review engineering documentation, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs), and design reports. /liliPerform material, mass, energy, and utility balance calculations and support equipment sizing activities. /liliWork closely with clients, end users, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to define and deliver project requirements. /liliParticipate in GMP risk assessments, HAZID workshops, design reviews, and technical discussions throughout the project lifecycle. /liliCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet project, quality, and regulatory requirements. /liliSupport project execution from concept development through detailed design while ensuring delivery in line with project schedules and objectives. /li br/b Qualifications /bbr/br/pbQualifications Experience /b /pliDegree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, or a related technical discipline /lilipMinimum 5 years of experience delivering process engineering activities within large-scale pharmaceutical, biotech, API, or other GMP-regulated CAPEX projects. /p /lilipProven experience supporting projects from concept and basic design through detailed design and implementation. /p /lilipStrong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, process equipment, cleanroom facilities, and utility systems. /p /lilipHands-on experience developing and reviewing engineering deliverables, including URSs, process risk assessments, process calculations, PFDs, PIDs, and technical specifications. /p /lilipSolid understanding of GMP requirements, quality risk management principles, and pharmaceutical engineering standards. /p /lilipExperience working in multidisciplinary project teams and collaborating with clients, end users, suppliers, and external partners. /p /lilipAbility to analyse complex technical challenges and develop practical, compliant engineering solutions. /p /lilipStrong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills in an international project environment. /p /lilipSelf-motivated, structured, and proactive professional with a collaborative approach and strong attention to detail. /p /li
