The opportunity

xTrace is a technology initiative that determines the origin of gold using advanced X-raybased analysis. By extracting and comparing elemental signatures xTrace identifies where gold comes from enabling producers aggregators and refineries to verify origin manage risk and build trust across the precious metals value chain.

We are a fast-growing venture at the intersection of science hardware and responsible gold sourcing. xTrace combines XRF instrumentation with advanced analytics to deliver practical field-ready traceability across the gold supply chain. We are looking for a field-focused product and client implementation lead based in Latin America to own on-site deployments client relationships and day-to-day technical operations across multiple countries.

Tasks

• Lead smaller to larger projects related to xTrace roll-out business model or market development
• Act as the primary on-site contact for clients building long-term trusted relationships
• Support clients during onboarding training and daily operation
• Visit clients; mines processing plants and other
• Install configure and operate XRF hardware at client sites
• Adapt deployments to local operating conditions regulations and technical requirements
• Develop and grow country-level presence through regular site visits and industry events
• Represent xTrace at conferences workshops and client meetings across Africa and South America
• Provide structured feedback from the field to product and engineering teams
• Coordinate installations upgrades and ongoing technical support
• Travel extensively across Africa and South America and spend a significant portion of the year on site

Requirements

• Background in physics geology geoscience chemistry engineering or a related technical field
• Sc. preferred; 3-5 years work experience preferred
• Fluent in English; Spanish and Portuguese is a strong plus
• Hands-on experience installing and supporting scientific analytical or industrial hardware
• Comfortable installing and configuring software and managing basic IT interfaces
• Client-facing relationship-driven and comfortable working independently in the field
• Pragmatic adaptable and focused on solving real-world operational problems
• Understanding of calibration measurement robustness and field reliability is an advantage
• Knowledge of mining gold processing aggregation or refinery operations is a plus
• Willingness to live and work on site (globally) for extended periods and travel frequently
• Clear communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with technical reporting
