Senior Accountant

Our client, a leading service provider within the pharmaceutical sector, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their company at their office in bBubendorf, Basel Land. /b /p pIf you are up to the challenge and looking to work for a leading company, apply now! /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liTake an active role in complex financial closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in accordance with IFRS and OR standards /li liEngage in various activities including analysis, statistical evaluations, and project support such as efficiency improvements, automation, and system processes /li liEnsure clear and timely reporting to the corporate group, manage account reconciliations, provide explanations, and maintain documentation /li liCoordinate with payroll and handle all business transactions mainly related to the general ledger within the ERP system. Oversee the accrual process and strive for continuous improvement in these procedures /li liManage VAT returns for Switzerland and possibly for foreign group companies, ensuring legal compliance and reclaiming foreign VAT /li liMaintain regular communication with the management team. Serve as a potential substitute for departmental management, given suitable qualifications and organizational development /li liProvide interdisciplinary project support for general financial accounting tasks, including adjustments, implementations, and documentation of ics processes /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liCommercial training with advanced education in finance and accounting (e.g., accounting specialist certification or similar academic qualifications with relevant practical experience) /li liMinimum of five years of professional experience in a similar role /li liStrong experience in optimizing financial processes, with proven expertise in financial closings and VAT matters /li liProficiency in German and English, strong skills in MS Office programs, and possibly experience with transitioning to SAP software /li liQuality-focused, diligent, precise, and able to work independently with an analytical and open-minded approach. /li /ul pbPlease note this role is only open to candidates with the right to work in Switzerland candidates requiring visa sponsorship cannot be considered (non-EU passport holders). /b /p pIf you meet the criteria for this exciting opportunity, apply today!
