With your competent advice, you will actively contribute to seizing business opportunities and play a tangible role in securing the long-term success of the company and protecting its assets. /ph3bMain Responsibilities /b /h3pThe Legal Counsel will handle legal issues, particularly in the following areas: /pulliContract Law /liliConsumer Credit Law /liliAdvertising and Competition Law /liliEmployment Law /liliFinancial Market Law (e.g., banking, anti-money laundering, insurance) /liliCriminal Law /liliData Protection Law /liliCommercial and Corporate Law /liliDebt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law /liliIntellectual Property Law /li /ulpAdditional responsibilities include: /pulliSupporting the General Counsel and peers with legal oversight of projects, and increasingly managing such projects independently if suitable. /liliDrafting contracts under instruction and providing legal support (initially with guidance). /liliClarifying legal issues. /liliPreparing submissions to authorities and courts. /liliCreating templates and contract models when needed. /li /ulh3bTime Allocation /b /h3ulli60%: Drafting contracts, memos, legal assessments, and reviewing marketing materials (initially under instruction). /lili40%: Legal support of projects including minor reviews and opinions (possibly including training); drafting legal submissions under guidance where appropriate. /li /ulh3bOther Key Tasks /b /h3ulliManaging the balance between legal requirements and departmental expectations. /liliEfficient and practical application of legal expertise in company-related matters. /liliIdeally, a solid understanding of legal areas relevant to the credit card and consumer credit sectors. /li /ulh3bSpecial Requirements for the Candidate (Education, Experience, Software Skills) /b /h3ulliIndependent and proactive team player with strong negotiation and planning skills. Importance: High /liliStrong interest in contract, consumer, competition, and advertising law; curiosity for digital transformation; excellent communication skills. Importance: High /liliSeveral years of experience as in-house legal counsel in finance or commercial law firm; Swiss Master of Law and Swiss bar exam. Importance: High /liliFluent in German (native level); excellent English (written and spoken).
