Senior Software Engineer

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python for index calculation and data processing platforms
• Own the end-to-end delivery of features, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet quality expectations
• Lead the technical delivery of a distributed engineering team in India, aligning the team and ensuring consistent, high-quality outcomes (without direct line management)
• Collaborate with SRE teams to ensure systems are reliable and production-ready, contributing to improvements where needed
• Drive architecture and engineering decisions to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability

What You Bring

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience with Java (Spring Boot) and Python in a production environment
• Experience leading delivery in a distributed setup, with a focus on accountability and outcomes
• Solid understanding of backend system design and distributed systems
• Experience using modern engineering tooling and AI-assisted development to improve productivity and code quality
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in building and operating production systems
• Fluent English communication skills; German is a plus
