JOB PURPOSE
An exciting opportunity exists for a world class Maitre d' to join our newly created luxury travel brand “Explora Journeys” and manage the assigned Dining Outlet operations, motivating and coaching all Dining Service Team members to provide exceptional service to the Guests.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure compliance with quality and sanitation standards and procedures in all restaurants, crew mess rooms and room service;
- Supervise, coach, evaluate and motivate the Dining Service Team;
- Handles and resolve guest complaints regarding dining quality and service;
- Conducts daily Team briefings or meetings;
- Contributes to cost control through close monitoring of the inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)
Previous experience onboard Luxury / Premium Cruise lines;Extensive experience with diverse Luxury / Premium hospitality venues in the dining operations;Previous experience in Start Ups / Pre-openings is an advantage;Fluent English, oral and written. Any additional European language is considered an advantage (Italian, Portuguese, German, Spanish and French);Excellent management and organizational skills;Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;Passionate about hospitality and customer service driven.VISA REQUIREMENTS (if any)
Possess a valid passport and seaman book.
