Your Mission

As Head of Trade Finance, you will oversee and advance the group’s global trade finance strategy, ensuring efficient processes, financial stability, and compliance with international standards. You will lead a diverse team, strengthen relationships with financial institutions, and act as a trusted partner to key business functions to support sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Job

- Lead and develop the global trade finance team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Oversee trade finance operations and implement digital solutions to increase efficiency and transparency.

- Partner with internal stakeholders to design financing structures that balance growth and risk management.

- Manage relationships with banks, insurers, and financial partners to secure competitive trade finance instruments.

- Ensure compliance with internal policies and international trade regulations, including KYC and export control requirements.

- Supervise trade finance documentation and mitigate credit and collateral risks.

- Monitor market developments and introduce innovative financing approaches aligned with business needs.

Profile

- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Economics

- Extensive experience in a senior trade finance role within an international industrial or capital goods environment.

- In-depth knowledge of trade finance instruments, structures, and global compliance standards.

- Strong commercial and risk management mindset with proven strategic and operational leadership.

- Experienced in managing multicultural teams and collaborating across geographies.

- Excellent communication skills in English and German; additional languages are an asset.

- Solid command of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and digital finance tools.
