Responsibilities :

  • Engineer and manage company-wide PostgreSQL database infrastructures.
  • Work with cross-departmental teams to ensure the stable operation of databases and their applications.
  • Design, install, operate, and maintain highly available PostgreSQL database systems.
  • Provide support for our databases, conduct analyses, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Manage the database lifecycle and collaborate on IT architecture development.
  • Continuously develop and maintain existing and new PostgreSQL databases.
  • Offer technical support and advice in application development involving databases.
  • Plan and execute database migrations.
  • Actively participate in various cross-departmental IT projects.

Your Profile :

  • Experience in highly available PostgreSQL environments.
  • Proficient in shell scripting and familiar with automation.
  • Motivated to contribute knowledge, optimize processes, and successfully implement projects.
  • Enthusiastic about continuous learning and open to new technologies.
  • Completed vocational training and / or higher education in computer science or a comparable qualification.
  • Career changers with relevant experience are welcome.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL Server (including clustering).
  • Experience with cloud and container technologies is desirable.
  • Excellent German and English skills.
